I read post after post about leaking or pain weeks/months after delivery. I had nothing like that after my c/s. About 2 days after the c/s (so still in the hospital) I had some nerve pain, but some Demerol took care of that. Are only the "bad" stories getting posted, or did I get off lucky? I'm getting a little nervous reading these posts if my experience was rare and I end up with another c/s.
I've had 1 vaginal delivery and 1 c/s delivery. Neither was really better/worse, just different.
Re: Anyone else NOT have leaking/pain at incision site after leaving the hospital?
One side of my incision was a bit funky, and I had a tiny bit of goo leakage, but only the first week.
Other than that, the only pain I remember was 4-5 weeks after when I over-did it with lifting the car seat to get it in my SUV. I had to let other people do that for a few days and then was fine.
I had some random pain here and there, but I know it was nerves healing, so I couldn't even tell you when it was.
Same here. I've had 2 c/s and never had incision problems. I had normal surgery soreness but not incision pain or leaking.
I never had any incision leaking either time around. I had dermabond to close my incision and you can barely see the incision it's so thin. That stuff worked awesome.
My first c-section was minimal pain. I was on ibuprofen by 5 days PP and running errands 7 days PP. My second c-section was a nightmare--I was taking percocet for weeks since my stomach was so sore due to vomiting from the medication they gave me for the whole entire day of my section. The zofran didn't stop me from throwing up--it was absolutely miserable.
Same!

No incision leaking but just a little twinges or tweaks of pain here and there (and I am currently 4 weeks PP). Of course right after the C-Section it was normal pain that would be associated after major surgery where I was on hyrdocodine for two weeks and the nurses checked my incision all the time while I was in the hospital (I was there for 3 days).
I had been reading this board so I had become very vigilant about watching my incision and following the directions on care of it.
