Implantation vs. Mestrual Cramps

For "already moms" out there.... Do implantation cramps feel the exact same as menstrual cramps?

I'm not due for AF for another 4 days, and I NEVER get cramps until the morning of my period. Never. But last night AND this morning I've had wicket bad cramps... although they're fading now as it rolls into evening.

They feel a lot like bad menstrual cramps. So it could very well be that. Do they feel the same, or are there subtle differences (besides the obvious one of not getting your period)?

I didn't have implantation cramps and I don't personally know anyone who has.

I am thinking that AF is coming a little early.

I totally agree with you - expect I ovulated a bit late this cycle and I almost want to say it's going to come LATER than I expect! This whole pregnancy thing is stressful. Always second guessing yourself and your symptoms.

I know there is a wicket ewok but I doubt he would be giving you cramps. Unless you were caring his fluffy ass through Endor.

Nope. Trying to do my best to be patient for 4 more days till my period is expected. Let's just say (for giggles) that this IS implantation bleeding... then it could still be too early for a BFP. It takes at least 2-5 days for enough hormone to get produced for the tests to detect it, right?

I have been pregnant once and I kept thinking my period was coming because I did have period like cramps. Looking back now I guess they were implantation cramps. Hope that helps.

I started experiencing cramping 7 DPO and got my bfp 2 days later. Its now 5 days later and I'm still experiencing these cramps which I believe is caused from uterus getting ready for baby. Pregnancy was confirmed by blood results at 11 dpo.

never felt my implantation...most likely its af on the way since their pretty strong. every month is different.

I've never felt implantation cramping or spotting, but with all of my pregnancies I had major cramping for months. But I'm not sure how early that started. Maybe around the time I would have gotten my period.

I've had two kids so far there is no way of knowing if cramping is due to AF or pregnancy until you take a test or AF shows. Also I highly doubt you can feel implantation and cramping due to it. You can have cramping and still be pregnant but I really don't think it's due to feeling the egg nestle in to your ute. IMO.

OP, I've been pg before and yes, the cramps feel exactly the same. When I was starting to realize I was PG with DD we were on vacation. I had horrible cramps and was SURE AF was coming any minute. I was tempting and my temps stayed up, which i thought was a good sign. I temped when I got home, 2 days after AF was due and got a BFP.

Never felt implantation cramps.

I did however have some mild cramping but that was long after implantation.

When I was pregnant I had cramps. I thought I was going to get AF and I was super disappointed they were a little worse the usual and a few days before I was supposed to start my period...was surprised when AF didnt come and then I tested positive! hoping that is the case for you! Keep us posted!

When I was pregnant, I had horrible cramps a week before my period was due, and then my period never came and I got my BFP.

That had never happened before, and never happened again, until this past month, when I had the same awful, nearly debilitating cramps about a week before my period was due. But, this month, I still got my period, right on time, no BFP... And, a week ago I was so sure I was pregnant, since it was the same symptoms I had when I was pregnant!

So, can't tell you much... Sorry!!!

I remember waking up on a Sunday night with really bad cramps. They felt a bit different though then my normal AF cramps...a bit more localized and intense. That Wednesday morning I got my BFP.
