I am really sorry that you feel like this and didnt get much support from what I thought was supposed to be an online support group. I think people on here really have something up their ass about gender reveals for some reason. They feel like posting the same comments over and over about how no one cares, but you, is helpful. We get that they dont really care, and are happy either way, but I guess my family is support enough to get excited to find out.
I've noticed that as well, I'm not sure why on this particular topic people don't just move along when they see it, and instead feel the need to convince others that "Gender reveals are DUMB and you are TOO if you like them."
I think it's silly to make a big deal out of gender, because congrats! you're having a healthy baby! boys are girls are both awesome! But I'm not comfortable with the snarky attitude either.
FWIW, I thinjk it was really shittastic for your BIL to guess your password & look at your pictures. However, the crying uncontrollably was a bit over the top. So, there. Supportive enough? ::pats head::
See, I wrote what I thought was a thoughtful response to that post. I don't particularly like gender reveals myself, but I said I was sorry that she was upset about it. I did, however, ask why it was a big deal if her BIL agreed not to tell anyone and the party is today. Based on those facts, I don't think she should have been so upset about it. After the party, she could have taken the time to talk to BIL about the invasion of privacy (I agree that he shouldn't have done that and that that needs to be addressed).
She did get some helpful responses in that post, and there really was no reason to DD. As PP said, this is the Internet. You aren't always going to like the responses you get.

Of course people have moments. (See your post for a prime example) Also, try taking your own advice.

I missed the original thread but I would like to point out there is nothing nice about calling other people bitchy. I am surprised your mom never taught you that.

It WAS ridiculous. The comments were warranted.
And the only people that go gah-gah over gender reveal parties are ones that are planning one/having one themselves.
