I haven't been on much since giving birth to our little girl on October 16th, but I am here now. I recognize a lot of ladies here from PgAL, and I am so glad to be over here.
For those of you who I don't recognize, I am Kristen, I'm from Portland, Oregon and DH and I welcomed Kaylee Elizabeth on October 16th at 10:43am. She weighed 7lbs 6oz, and was 19.5 inches long.
We have been having trouble with breastfeeding, both with latch issues and low milk supply, but I am certainly trying to make it work, so we are having to supplement with formula. I have worked with lactation nurses and consultants, but it is becoming more of a point of frustration I'm pumping and giving her what I can, but it isn't enough. I hope I am not the only one with this problem here.
Anyways, hopefully I will be able to spend more time on here soon, I know so many of you ladies are incredibly supportive!
Re: Introduction
As far as the bfing thing. I am sorry your having such a hard time. I can tell you you are not at all alone. There are many women on here having the same issues. Make sure to join the check in and maybe someone will be able to help. I am to mush brained right now to think of solutions.
You are not alone at all! We battled with latch issues, tongue tie, milk blisters, all of it for three weeks...I couldn't take the frustration anymore so I have been pumping like crazy to build my supply and we are giving him mostly pumped milk. You just have to do what is right for you and your family, whether it be FF, EP or BF. All that matters is a happy healthy family!
