Magic Sleep Suit ? XP from 6-9 Months Board

So DD has been using the Magic Sleep suit for about 2 months and its been great. Solved so many of our sleep problems.  However, now she has figured out how to roll in it and can even get up on her hands and knees.  Last night we decided to go without it and it was a horrible night. She was up 3 times and then decided 5 am was a good time to be up for good. With the sleep suit she gets up once and sleeps till 8am.  So I'm wondering if I should still be using it now that she can roll in it and how bad was your transistion out of it?

Re: Magic Sleep Suit ? XP from 6-9 Months Board

  • No, you are not supposed to use it once they can roll in it.  We had to stop using it cold turkey because one night she just started rolling in it.  So it was a few bad nights.....and the first and 2nd nights I was thinking how is she ever going to sleep good again without that suit.  But she did and I think it was the 3rd night.  Good luck!

  • I transitioned DS out of it slowly before he started rolling so I'm not sure if I can help.  It did take about a month because I started with one arm out for a couple of weeks, then the both arms out for a couple of weeks.  He transitioned well but if your DD is already rolling, I don't know that I would feel comfortable keeping her in it.
