  Oh, DH and I talked about this earlier this week so I'm ready...

  I don't let C have balloons, at all.  DH actually agrees with me on this too!  We go to loads of festivals and events so people are always offering them.  However, they're one of the greatest choking hazards for little kids and as DH put it, inevitably, the balloon will make LO cry either because it pops, deflates, or floats away.  I always get "crazy mom" looks when we turn them down though.  There is a condo bldg around us though that always has them tied out front thought and we let him hold them for a minute or two, but they're attached so thankfully cannot come with us.

  Msualum96 - No flames from me - I understand where you are coming from.  My time at work is my time away from the chaos of the kids.  Case in point, my FFFC is that I can't wait until my 3yo starts preschool.  I miss my "free" time when the kids nap by myself.  Isaac is sleeping away, but Audrey thinks she is a big girl and doesn't need a nap.  She wants to spend the time with me.  I know I should be enjoying it, but I'd really like more than 5 minutes by myself!

  I am still not a fan of the newborn phase even though DS2 is way easier and not a colicky mess like DS1 was.
  
  I just want a routine and normal naps and sleep again. I am sick of my house being a disaster and going to bed by 9pm since I never know how mug sleep I am going to get ant given night.
  
  This is probably our last kid and I feel bad for not enjoying the baby phase more, but oh well. I am just not a baby person. Toddlers are way more fun.

  There is a mom in my mommy and me group that just had her second baby 6 weeks ago and she claims she loves he first 6 months the most because she can just nurse them and have them sleep on her chest on and off all day before they are mobile.
  
  But her parents have literally moved into her house and do all the cooking and cleaning and toddler care and will be here for he first few months.
  
  Both kids are napping right now, but of course Benny is only sleeping for a long time because he's passed out on top of me and the boppy pillow.
  
  But at least I get to watch some tv and bump.
