After full term. But, nothing is a "for sure" so all I can do is try! I'll start upping my walking and things like that at 38 weeks because I know that it can help get stuff going, but doesn't throw you into the throws of labor overnight.

After I get to full term, I will be walking up a storm and bouncing on the exercise ball like crazy. I'm also going to up my red raspberry leaf intake and start Evening Primrose Oil.
Nothing that will send me into labor if my body and baby aren't ready, though.

If my placenta has moved out of the way enough and I don't need a c-section, I will request a membrane sweep at 37 weeks. With my history of PIH beginning at 36 weeks, I won't be shocked if I have to get medically induced at 39 weeks. I would really like to go into labor on my own though!
i was induced early last time for medical reasons so i asked what's the chance of needing another induction to which my ob said he would do one as earlier as 38 weeks if i wanted one.
i dunno though my induction last time was >24 hours and my hubbie and i think it's probably cause the baby wasn't ready/i had barely started dilating at that time.
It would help with scheduling a babysitter for our 1st to induce but convenience doesn't seem like a good reason to induce. so baring any size/medical problems like we had with our first i think i'll stick it out as long as possible.

I will consider it right after my due date as long as my doctor is not advising against it! Their policy is to wait until the due date, and if my cervix is still tightly closed (1cm or less) they will do a biophysical profile/monitoring, and then based on that either set an induction date or wait another week.
I don't want to wait too long because my son was 9lbs and I'm hoping to not have such a big baby next time.

I was induced at 39 weeks with my 1st and I ended up w/a c/s. I don't plan on having my dr induce at all this time unless I go past due. I will however, happily bounce on a ball, drink some tea, exercise or have sex.

I will be induced as soon as my doctor will let me. I was induced at 40w 2d and it was very successful, I have no fear of an induction. I do want to go into labor on my own, but I'll also want her out by her EDD.
Eta, I just re read OP, I'll be walking a lot and having sex starting 37 weeks, even though I know there's not much I can do to start labor myself.

I heard that the raspberry tea actually helps make labour easier (I use easier lightly here as I know there is nothing easy about it). I plan to start drinking it daily at 38 weeks.
I know I'm in the minority as well, but my doctor has already spoke to me about an induction at 39 weeks. My first was 9.8 lbs and I went to 42 weeks. It was a horrible experience and I had a lot of trouble because I'm small and she was so big. I even ended up back in the hospital from complications. So I'm opting for 39 weeks in hope of a smaller baby and an "easier" labor/delievery.
As for natural methods I'll start at 38 weeks. However, I tried EVERYTHING last time and nothing worked so I'm not too hopeful :-)
Red raspberry leaf (tea and/or capsules) is not a means of induction, but a uterine toner. I've been taking it in pretty high dosage since 13 weeks. My MW's standard protocol calls for EPO to begin at 34 weeks, although in my last appt she advised I start at 36 week. I'll probably start vaginal EPO at 38 weeks. I'll walk a bunch, have lots of sex, yada yada beginning...well, now. Or whatever. Last time, I made the "labor induction cookies" and the "labor induction eggplant parm" that is all online...all after 37/38 weeks. But that was more for fun and sort of "why not?!"...I will not have my membranes stripped ever, will not have a medical induction ever, will not be drinking castor oil or whatever ever...baby will come when he is ready!
My doctor said she wouldn't let me go past 41 weeks, but would induce me at my due date if I have a favorable cervix because I have a special situation. My Husband is only home from Japan for a short amount and we really want him to have time to bond with his Daughter. She has been measuring big for the past 6 weeks so we are having an ultrasound on Wednesday to see how big she actually is. I've been walking every day to help things along and my doctor believes I'm not going to have to worry about being induced which makes me happy. I really want a natural delivery.

When I hit full term. However, I am on modified rest right now (limited walking at work and home) and doc says he will lift that at 36 weeks.

The thought of having to induce labor absolutely terrifies me for some reason.
I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that for me - but if it does, I'm going with whatever my doctor feels is best and safest for me and baby.
