I have been on birth control for the past 2 years and stopped several months ago to start trying to get pregnant.  My cycles were always average 3-4 days.  Since stopping my birth control I will only bleed for one day and it's very light.  Can this mean something about my fertility?  I asked my doctor and she said that as long as there is some blood then it's okay. I'm having a very hard time trusting that based on some other questionable information she's given me in the past.

    As long as you are having a period, I wouldn't worry yet.

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    You're fine.  Also, a "cycle" is the entire time from the day you start your period to the day you start your next period.  A period is the time you are bleeding.

    If you start charting your temperature you can see if there is anything you should be concerned about. Check out Fertility Friend to get started. Otherwise, youre fine ;)

    FWIW, my doctor said the same thing.

    Don't borrow trouble OP.  Track your BBT and OPK and continue to TTC.

    If you seem to have TTTC, then go talk to someone. 
    (i.e. LPs < 10 days, or if you're >35 and TTC for >6 months or if you're <35 and TTC for > 1 year)

    You just got off BC, it can take a while for your body to regulate itself back out.

    This. Things are most likely not going to be same for a while, if ever. My first post BC period was lighter and shorter also. Give your body a few months to adjust.
