Question about travelling with baby

So next September, I believe, hubby and I are flying to Canada to visit his side of the family.  Cami will be 7 months old. 

What should I do about a sleeper for her?  Do you just bring the pack n play? Do they allow you to check those with the rest of your luggage? 

Sorry if this is dumb.. I've just never had to think about it before.

    You can check it.  You will probably need to check your carseat also, though.  The way airlines work now, you should look into how much they are going to charge you for the extra items and see if shipping them there would be cheaper.

    That is the perfect age to travel with a baby, BTW.  We went to Disney World with Gabe when he was 6 months and he traveled really well!

    Mt friends have all used their pack in plays. Or you could see if anyone there would have one, or a crib you could use for the visit. We have lent out our crib to friends who were visiting for a week.

    Did Gabe fly well?  I'm worried about her ears hurting.. Should I just give her a binky to help with that?  What other advice do you have for a long flight with baby?

    Also great advice!!  I will definitely check into that.  This is the first grandbaby on his family's side so I doubt his family will have anything. And I don't think his friends have babies, but it's always worth checking.

    Maybe I can try to find Chancie... haha

    He flew great.  I gave him a bottle at takeoff and landing.  The sucking helps with their ears.  He slept through most of the rest of the flight.  He got a little fussy once and I just stood in the aisle and rocked him.

    Okay, that's what I thought.. One of my co-workers told me to give her baby benadryl and I didn't think that was necessary.

    hehe, I'll totally impress my hubby with my knowledge when he wakes up from his nap!!  :) We drove from Calgary to Saskatoon several years ago on my first trip there.. It was fun!  (but long on that 2 lane hwy)

    I traveled to FL with DS when he was 7 months old, and I just checked the Pack N Play. Worked great.

    I'm going to have a Cami too...but her name will be Campbell. Are you doing Camille? I love the nickname Cami. Adorable.
