Maternity Pants = Best. Things. Ever!

So, I'm not really showing that much, but I've gotten quite a muffin-top recently and it just wasn't comfortable to sit in my jeans anymore so I sprung for some maternity pants today.

May I just say, they are amazing!!!  I feel SO much better now!  I can't believe how uncomfortable normal pants were getting and this just makes all the difference!  Smile

  • I'm trying to hold out to 12 weeks but posts like this make them seem so...tempting...

  • Well the OP is 12 weeks tomorrow...

I notice that my tighter pants are starting to get too tight now...the ones that were huge after I lost weight still fit so I have a few more weeks of regular clothes.  Right now I just feel fat ... can't wait for the cute bump.

Can I ask why? I switched already and I'm still a bit away from 12 weeks. They are just sooo comfy. Why put a time frame on it?
  • I'm thinking that I'll probably get alot bigger and I want to avoid having to buy so many clothes.  I thought if I can hold out till 12, I might be able to wear them longer.  Lol, idk.  I'm not really used to this whole baby/maternity shopping experience.
  • I got mat pants yesterday. Its awesome.

  • Seriously, I may never be able to wear normal pants again... it's like wearing pajamas to work, but no one can tell!!

I've worn them twice so far and yesterday tried to go back to my "normal" dress pants... and hated it. lol

I didn't have to buy more maternity clothes. They are often designed to grow with you. Just be smart about your purchases. No reason not to have at least a pair of work pants and jeans.

  • Thanks pp!  I didn't know that they would grow with me, I guess I thought they were just a bit bigger in the waist.  Good to know :)
  • I agree 100%. My clothes still fit but my jeans just hurt my tummy when I sat for a long time. I went and bought a pair of maternity pants with the small elastic band and I love them. I may wear them all the time, even after I have the baby.
  • I was doing so well.. and I noticed this week that my muffin top came back and it's very angry! LOL!  I have many pants/jeans up to 2 sizes bigger than I was wearing, so until the bump gets too big for them (and my butt and thighs look like they are drowning) I will hold off on my maternity pants.

  • Ugh I only have a few pairs of pants that fit me still but I haven't had a chance to go look for some new ones. One thing I know I'll need first is a new bra. All of mine have already become super uncomfortable!

  • I woke up at 9.5 weeks and couldn't button my pants. Went and bought maternity pants and HOLY SMOKES. It took everything I had not to ask to wear them out of the store.

I couldn't care less about the time frame. I want to be comfy and want this little peanut to not be squished!
