It takes two to talk - book/dvd?

Hi,

My son is 10 months old and isn't very vocal.  He squeals in delight and makes cooing sounds, but has never vocalized a consonant.  He is nowhere near babbling.  The pediatrician suggests that he's slow, but that he is still too young to be overly worried about this.  It was suggested that I pick up the book It Takes Two to Talk.  I see that there is also a DVD available.  Frankly, I think I'd rather just watch the DVD.  Anyone know if they cover the same techniques, or are the complimentary (in which case I might get both)?  TIA

  • It is the same information, just that in the book the strategies are explained in more detail and the DVD shows video examples. I like them both because I like written information in addition to the more "hands on", but that's just me. The Hanen program is fantastic and I highly recommend it!
