I live in Canada and I am a taking a trip to Florida ft lauderdale near grasslands mall? we leave in 2 weeks. I wanted to buy a few things while I am down there the first thing being a umbrella stroller I wanted to get the ingesina swift but can't find it in Canada. I could see if my friend will let me order and have it shipped to her house in Florida or I can try and find it while I am there. Thoughts? I need it for early in the trip when we go to Disney.
The other items I was looking at picking up are a diaper bag skip hop or something similar, some Aden and Anais swaddle blankets and perhaps and ergo carrier.
I am open to getting a different stroller but I need it to be lightweight able to hold a heavier child dd is 35 at 2.5 and have some sort of recline and sunshade.
Also I was hoping to buy some maternity clothes do the gap and old navy carry their mat clothes in stores or is it all online?
Any ideas would be great!
Re: I need help! Shopping info
I would use the store locator(s) online and check to see if they have the stroller you want in store. If so, then I would probably just go buy it in person (unless it was ridiculously cheaper on line). That way you could "test drive" it and make sure you like it. If not, then I would probably order it before hand.
As far as the other items, most of those can be found in most stores with possibly the exception of the diaper bag. Just depends on which one you want, and again you can check if it's in stock in a particular store or order it ahead.
Some of the Gap and Old Navy stores carry mat clothes, but not all. Most of the stuff you can order online and return to any store (whether they carry mat or not). If the item can't be returned in store, it will be pointed out online.
Just an FYI about strollers... if you buy one in the US and plan on using when you get back to Canada, there are regualtions surrounding this. (Though I'm not sure who would get you in trouble for having a US stroller).
It is for this reason that we are ensuring we buy all strollers, cars eats, pack n' plays, cribs in Canada - even though I'll be having a shower in the US.
We have BRU, target, BBB here so I think you could get most of that while you are here rather than ordering it. I got my ergo from BRU but had to order online.
I recently read about the Boba airlight carrier, maybe check that out since its still warm here. Have fun at Disney!
Op, pop into JCP as well, they have mat clothes as well and not expensive.
