Long Night in L&D

After having contractions on and off for a week now. Last night I got a fever of 101.6 and started throwing up. So we went to the hospital. After monitoring me for awhile. I was having contractions every 3 minutes for about 4 hours. The babies heartrate was high at first but finally settled down. My fever came down , so they think I had a viral infection.They gave me the shot to slow the contractions , and when I left the hospital I was having contractions every 10 minutes. Im only 36 weeks and the doctor didnt want to go ahead and start making me dilate( at this point I wasnt dilated any) .He wants to give the baby atleast another week. I have been home  all day on bed rest and still having contractions about every 7 minutes. I have a doctors appt in the am. What does everyone think? Should I bare them out. They dont hurt really bad. Im thinking I will have a baby atleast within 2 weeks.

    my friend was having ctx every 2 mins, received the terbutaline shots and was still contracting some. ?was on bed rest for 8 weeks and delivered her baby at 40w1d. ?i would try to wait it out.

    I was having five minute apart contractions for over two weeks before they stripped my membranes and I went into labor.  I would have bouts of three minute apart ones.  It was very exhausting but I am very glad the baby stayed in the additional two weeks.  Your contractions probably got worse due to the virus.  Good luck!!

    wow...I could have written this post. I just had the same thing happen to me. I started having contractions one night, went in, got Terb. and then went home. Then the next night the same thing that happened to you happened to me. It's exhausting! Good luck!!
