Thoughts on the name Damon

I love the name Damon but every time I tell some one in my family they say it sounds too much like demon. I need some outside opinions. Thanks

I don't like it but it isn't awful. I think more of Damien than demon.

But if you like it, it's your baby. They'll deal. Trust me. My parents gave me so much sh?t over my sons name. So much that they will not know this baby's name until he's born.

It's your baby, that's a perk of being a parent name him what you want. My mom and grandmother can't stand our name we picked for our daughter, I finally told them to shove it. It's my kid and I can name her what I want!

One of my good friends has a son named Daymon. She said she wishes she would have spelled it Damon but her ex picked the spelling out.

I also think of demon when I see the name Damon. That's mainly because I am not familiar with the name.

I'm also surprised so many people think "demon.". But that might be because I have a good work friend named Damon and when I was a baby the first town I lived I was Damon. I actually like the name!

I don't think "demon" when I hear it. I think of Matt Damon, actually. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, and he's your baby, you get to choose the name based on what YOU like, not your family or friends.
