I am not the one hosting the shower but my cousin has asked if I could come up with ideas for games going on while folks are partying. I am used to going to showers that are much smaller. Its a large shower as it will be co-ed. She has:
1 - Don't say the word
2 - Guess the number of M&M's in the bottle
3 - Put a plate on your head & draw a picture of a baby
4 - Bingo during opening presents
Thanks in advance for helping.
Re: Baby shower with 80 guests, what games to play??
I was just at a shower with about 60 people or so.
They had a "guess the baby birthday and size" and were going to send a gift card to the winner after the baby was here. And on that card there was also a spot to put down a thought or something to tell the mom to be.
There was also a guess how many in the jar thing, like you mentioned.
Bingo, and a raffle that they pulled names out of during the presents.
I'm not big on games at showers in general esp baby showers...and being co-ed I'm not too sure, I can't quite picture the men playing the baby shower games esp something like bingo which requires you to pay attention to the gift opening- even as a female I find baby shower gift opening super boring, MH would die of boredom & would not pay attention, at all (and 80 guests= prob around 40 gifts+, that is LONG.) Though I have heard of team races drinking adult beverages out of baby bottles
.
I'd try to do something sort of funny/entertaining but not cheesy, like what about if you got some funny baby/toddler/childhood stories from the parents of the mom/dad and did a true false game and made up some fake ones too...everyone fills it out & all the ones that have 100% correct go in a jar & you pick one out to win something...then announce the correct answers periodically while gift shifting/card opening is going on...
