3 1/2 months pp .... is this normal ?

My twins are 3 1/2 months old..... My first two periods were super light but this month its really heavy ! I called the dr and he said it was normal but I was just curious if any of you experienced this ! My first pregnancy was a singleton and it was almost 13 years ago ! TIA !

    I didn't have any light periods right off the bat, but the first 3 periods I did have were HELL.  HELL I say!!  Ugh!  I was shocked anything could bleed that much and not die.  It was gross.  It got better though.  This last month was pretty tame.  So...2, 3 and 4 month PP = awful.  5 months PP = more normal.

    Yep.  Last month was BAD.
    4/08 BFP resulted in m/c
    8/08 BFP resulted in m/c
    3/09 Polyp removed and dx MTHFR (both copies)
    6 Clomid cycles, all BFN
    5/09 IUI#1 with Clomid=BFN
    6/09 IUI#2 with Clomid=BFN
    8/09 IUI#3 with Clomid=BFN
    IVF#1 = BFN
    IVF#2 = BFN
    IVF#3 ET 2 Grade A blasts 11/16/11
    Beta #1: 485
    Beta #2: 2,495
