Any advice on what to say to my DD? She is almost 4 . She has an imaginary Brother and sister. Last night she was asking me if I want to see them. I almost started to cry. I told her yes very much. Should I bring up the subject of siblings to her? Since your daughter is older I figured you might have had this experience.

    My daughter is only 3.5, but she talks about her siblings all the time she still doesn't know I'm pregnant. I just go along with it, ask her what she would name them, what they will look like, etc. I have cried about it in front of her, but I brush it off and tell her it's something else.

    I think the best thing to do is not bring attention to it and just go with it. She also talks about unicorns a lot and we don't tell her they're not real. In she asked me why she isn't a big sister or something along those lines, I think I'd explain that sometimes families only have one child.

    Honestly, hearing her say she wants to be a big sister and knowing we couldn't do that alone was one of the worst parts of ivf. I totally understand the heartbreak it causes you.
