anyone else having trouble sleeping?

I have been so exhausted latley and I have been going to bed earlier than normal. The only problem is, I will sleep GREAT for several hours then I cant get comfortable. I am sleeping with my snuggle pillow from my last pregnancy but its not helping.... I tell my husband every night, I dont even have the big belly yet and I cant get comfortable!

Anyone else having this kind of trouble? and if so, what are you doing to help the situation?

Re: anyone else having trouble sleeping?

  • I am new to being a mother to be, i too have been having a hard time sleep restless nights. I have been drinking a glass of warm milk at night that seems to be putting me to sleep and listening to calming music does too.

  • My doctor recomended i take benedryl and it's worked great
  • So question regarding sleeping...I read that we shouldn't lay flat on our back. Does anyone know anything more about this?

After reading that, I've tried so hard not to sleep on my back...which makes it harder for me to sleep. Having to switch from side to side gets uncomfortable. My hips are starting to hurt. Perhaps a body pillow would help? Any ideas?

my dr said that we don't have any sleeping changes until about 20 weeks.  According to her we can sleep however we need.

  • We have a couple different spare bedrooms so I've been getting up and moving to try different beds to get better sleep! It's terrible not being able to get the solid sleep like I used to. I find I do better in a softer bed by myself without all DH's snoring! I think the pregnancy has made my sense of hearing stronger or something because I used to never wake up from him. Not to mention having to pee every.single.night.
