Anyone else's LO not have teeth yet?

DS has no teeth and no sign of them, other than constant drool and chewing on things!  I think he's among the older babies since he was born a little early - he is 8 months today and still nothing.  I know many babies who are younger than him have a few teeth already.  I'll ask at his 9 month appointment if I'm still not seeing any and I'm not exactly eager for them to show up since I'm EBFing, but I'm just curious.

Re: Anyone else's LO not have teeth yet?

  • We got our 1st a few weeks ago. Our pedi said at our last visit that many kids don't get them until after a year and that is fine. My niece didnt get them till 10 mos and was already eating/gumming finger foods.

  • 7mths old here and just had one start to cut through today. I've actually heard an old wives tale the longer it takes the more healthy their teeth will be growing up. Not sure if its true since thiis my first...
  • Kelsey's first tooth is 2 or 3 days old now.  She doesn't exactly bite me while nursing, but it rubs and hurts!

  • No teeth here either.  Lots of teething symptoms--red cheeks intermittently, drooling, shoving everything into the mouth.  A few weeks ago we could feel them, but still not up yet!
Me and my Kiwi, both 38.  We struggled with RPL and were blessed with Micah.  I'm a full custody stepmom to Ethan!

  • Glad we're not the only ones!  I'm definitely not anxious for them to appear, but I wanted to make sure others were still waiting for them to cut through.  Thanks ladies!

My Mom told me that my grandma told her that too - about the teeth being healthier the longer they take.  I don't know if there is any truth to it though.

We still don't have a tooth yet either.  I can see two little teeth under her gums on the bottom, but they aren't making an appearance yet.

This here too. I can see a couple tooth nubs sorta on the side (not gonna be the front ones first) but not trying to poke through or anything.

My mom says that both my sister and I didn't have teeth until we a year old then a ton came at once. I will be okay with that because we plan to stop nursing around a year.

The family that sat with us in church this past week have a little boy 9 days younger than DD. He already has two teeth.

  • DS doesn't have any yet...but I definitely can feel one bottom front. He has been so uncomfortable the last few days and refusing the bottle too. I hope it comes all the way through soon!
