I am thinking about starting a baby swim class soon with DD and they require swim diapers. I looked at the smallest size which starts at 16lbs. She is only 13 lbs.
If you have used them before are they true to size? I would hope her bathing suit could hold it up a bit but if he diaper could float away on us I might wait a little longer!
Re: Has anyone used Lil Swimmers?
I'm not sure about the lil swimmers, but have you thought about a cloth swim diaper? it will save you money in the long run. You could get a Thirsties Cover for about $13 and just reuse it.

ETA- If you're actually cloth diapering and have a diaper cover you're not using- those will work just fine, same with a pocket diaper shell. You just won't be able to use it as a regular diaper AND a swim diaper. The covers work just fine though. We used a blue thirsties cover over the summer.
I do have cloth swimmers, but our pool wont allow them.
I dont see the difference but its baby swim class rule #1! :P
What a ridiculous rule...
Anyway, I've used the small size Lil Swimmers on the other LOs before they were "big enough" for them, and they worked fine.
That sucks. =/
We've used both the lil swimmers and a Bummis Swimmi and I prefer the Swimmi.
Thanks guys! Im pretty excited about taking her swimming!
