  Their mattresses looked really thin to me. I just got a regular standard size mattress and it fits our Gulliver fine.

  It is not a popular option on here but we purchased the firmest option at ikea and it works fine.

  We just got a regular crib mattress at BRU, works fine.

  Standard-sized mattress (28"x52") will fit in IKEA cribs.  Ours (Sundvik) says specifically not to have mattress thicker than 6".

  We use a non-Ikea mattress with our Sundvik crib.  It fits just fine.  I believe all the Ikea cribs now have standard dimensions to fit standard mattresses. 

  My impression at the time that we bought the crib was that the Ikea mattresses were too soft and flimsy.
