After the "what's for dinner?" post i've been thinking about using my crockpot more often but could use some new recipes.  We pretty much only use it for pot roast and that's def getting old!  What are your favs???  Please include the entire recipe or a link to it.  :)

  • I have made this recipe and it is really good.  Now my MIL makes it too on occasion for our Sunday dinners at her house.

  • We love pulled pork in ours - I kind of eyeball all of this but I use a pork loin roast (is bigger and has more fat than a tenderloin), slice some onions on top, add a cup or so of apple juice, 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar, a little salt and pepper, and cook for 6-8 hours depending on size.  You then drain most of the juice, pull it with a fork, add in bbq sauce to your like, and let it warm for another 30 minutes.

We also love, love, love OSC meatballs but she should have the honor of posting.  Wink

  • I will throw in chicken breasts  with Cajun seasoning, carrots and potatoes halved.  After work I mash the potatoes with a fork and add butter and sour cream.

  • 2 things I like a lot:

Pulled pork- I do abt 2-3lb pork loin, pour ginger ale over top, cook on low 6-8 hrs. Then dump the ginger ale, shred and put some Sweet Baby Ray's on top! THE BEST pulled pork!!!

"salsa chicken" for tacos: I do about 3 chicken breasts, dump some taco seasoning on, then your choice of salsa. Cook low 6-8 hrs, shred and put in tacos! YUM!!

  • I have a couple favorites,

    1. Bacon Chicken Ranch - 3-4 chicken breast, 8oz sour cream, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 packet of the Ranch Dressing Seasoning, and 1/4 cup bacon bits, cook on low 6-8 hours, and serve over egg noodles.

    2. Pulled Pork - 18-20 oz of Rootbeer, 3-4 lbs pork shoulder, cook on low for 6-8 hours, shred and then add 36-40 oz of  bbq sauce (we also like sweet baby rays).

    3. 2-3 lbs of sausage links, chopped green pepper, chopped onion, diced potatoes, 1/3-1/4 cup white wine,  1 tablespoon of garlic, then either spaghetti sauce (1 -2 jars) or tomato soup (3-4 cans), Cook on low 6-8 hours.

  • My best crockpot recipe is jerk chicken. It's super easy and I usually make rice & black beans & a salad for sides. It's not as heavy as lots of crock-pot recipes. Generally, this site is really great for crockpot stuff.
