DS will be turning 3 in a couple of weeks and for over a year now he's been obsessed with his letters. He loves to play "abc's" which involves everything from reciting the alphabet to thinking of words that start with certain letters to making the sounds each letter makes. I love that he's eager to learn and I always like to encourage it.
I've been noticing lately that in books and his letters puzzles he traces the letter with his finger. I was thinking it might be a good next step to get something that would encourage him to learn how to write letters. Any ideas? I don't want to just use worksheets bc I feel like those are contrived and I don't think he'll respond as well to that as he would something more interactive. I think Montessori programs do letters in sand...I was thinking something along those lines.
