RP: Advice for Cranky Baby

My son, who was the happiest easiest baby I have ever met, has been so cranky and non-stop whiny for the last month.  He had some funky rash for the last few days, but no fever.  He also keeps refusing some bottles??  I am taking him off all jarred food (except cereal) for a while to see if that is it.  He is happy for about 45 minutes after he wakes up, then whiny for the next hour and 15 minutes until I put him down.  He is only happy if he is being walked around the house or if we leave and go out somewhere.  I am fine leaving every day, but there are only so many places that we need to go to :(  The weather is so cold here that I can't take him out for long walks either.   Please tell me this passes and it's not his permanent personality.  :(

Re: RP: Advice for Cranky Baby

  • Could be teething.  My son is always smiles but man alive heaven help us when he is teething and a tooth can take up to 3 wks.

Try a nice long bath.  That soothes most babies.
