Horoscopes make me chuckle

So today a coworker and I were hanging up some pictures in our boardroom. Our boss came in and stated that one of them should go in a certain place (different than what we had discussed earlier this week) and asked what we thought. So I told her. Obviously she didn't like that I had spoken up. She said to leave it for now since I was in an argumentative mood and that I had forgotten who the boss was. She said this all in a "joking" tone but it still pissed me off. Fast forward an hour, I was working at my desk and she comes up and asks if I'm approachable or not now. And continues to make jokes about me being in a "mood". At this point I'm more annoyed than ever by her. Ugh. I can't wait to quit this job.

Anyways, the funny part is that after all this goes down, I head into the kitchen and glance at my horoscope in the paper. This is what it says.

You are rarely subtle in the way you say things and today you will speak your mind without fear or favour. Leave others in no doubt at all that you are not amused by what has been going on of late.

I laughed until I cried. I wanted to share it with someone and clearly couldn't share it in the office.

    That's great!!!!

    Side note, what's with your boss?  If I'm in a mood, your best bet is to leave me alone.  The last thing I'd want is someone calling me out on it.

    It's crazy how accurate those can be sometimes, right? That always happens to me when I read the horoscope after the fact.

    And what is up with your boss? Passive/aggressive much? Ew.

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    hahaha thanks for sharing!  Weren't you talking about quitting your job awhile back?  Sorry if I missed something I only ask because I'm in a similar work situation and DH and I have been evaluating if we can afford for me to quit before I find a new job.

    Yes, the plan right now is for me to quit in March. That will get us through the winter and back into DH's busy time. Unless I get pg before then and then I will wait to take mat leave. And never return. Smile

    PAIF/SAIF, PGAL/PAL welcome.
    TTC since March 2010 ~ Dx Unexplained IF September 2011
    2011: IUI + Clomid = CP#1
    2012: 3 more IUIs + Clomid = 3 more CPs. One on-our-own pg, also CP
    2013: BTB IUI + Lupron/Follistim/Prometrium/PIO = CP #6
    IF testing, RPL testing, Autoimmune testing = all normal
    So lost.

    TTC since 4/28/07
    Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
    BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
    Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

    June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!

    hahaha! nice! I think it is great when someone speaks their mind! I am the kind of person who has to speak their mind bc my face will say it all. If I don't have anything nice to say and know I will get in trouble if I open my mouth then I walk away :) good for you for calling your boss out! you should frame that horoscope too!
