DH Comments Bother Me

My DH keeps saying things like "Why would you need more than her?" (talking about DD) or "I'm not sure I need another one."  When I talk to him about these comments, he says it's his way of dealing with the IF.  But they are so hurtful to me.  It makes me afraid that he'll not want to keep trying.  And now we are taking a break due to DH's health issues, and I'm afraid he won't want to try again after the break.

I just needed to vent about this, and I knew you ladies would understand.

DD conceived after 3 years of ttc.
MFI - DH had varicocele repair and took Clomid to get DD b. 02/2010

TTC #2 since 6/2010
10/2012 DH diagnosed with Epilepsy
A few failed IUIs summer 2012 and 2013. 
DH taking clomid and waiting to see if he needs another vericocele repair. 
Hoping for a 2015 baby or babies. 
Wishing, hoping, waiting.

    Totally understand!!! My dh told me he wanted to stop trying or this is God's way of saying we are done... etc... When I told him how hurtful he tried to explain his fears and I think it's just their way of coping like he said... You have to not take it personally and just know it's hard for him too... Hugs!!

    I'm sorry!   You two have had a lot on your plate lately.  Hopefully you two can get back on the same page soon.  Lots of hugs!

    I agree. I think you will actually feel better if you truly put it aside for right now. If you don't talk about it with him but constantly worry about what he may or may not want it will cause you a lot of pain and stress and it won't help your long-term outcome.

    I'm praying for you guys and hope you have the time to deal with everything that has been thrown at you in the past couple of months.

    Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
    18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!
    BFP #1 6/22/09 EDD: 3/2/10 DS born: 3/8/10

    TTC #2 since Dec 2011
    BFP #2 7/8/12 EDD: 3/18/12 M/C @ 9w1d: 8/16/12
