Parenting after 35

Intro

Hey Ladies!  I have been frequenting TB for months but somehow never noticed this board.  I am 37 and just had my little girl back in Feb by emergency c-section.  I am a SAH/WAH mom, which is challenging.  I didn't see 'The Breakfast Club' in the theater, but I do remember my sister taking me to see 'Pretty in Pink' like it was yesterday - does that count?  :-) I'm excited I found this board!

Welcome! This board has awesome ladies on it. I remember seeing Pretty in Pink, but not Breakfast Club, in the theater, too. In fact, I saw it one day, went back the next day dressed like one of the characters. (TMI, maybe?)

  • Hi and welcome!

I don't think I saw Pretty In Pink in the theater. I think Breakfast Club was an anomaly because my dad and I needed a way to kill the time, the rest of the John Hughs stuff I was out of luck for seeing them before they came out on video. I had all the soundtracks though.

Hey, does anyone remember Some Kind of Wonderful? John Hughs wrote that.

Yes yes yes!! I loved that one, too!!  I thought Mary Stewart Masterson was so cool playing her drums.  I hate to sound like an old curmudgeon, but teen movies these days just aren't as good.
