Anyone have any successes or short-comings that they'd like to share this week?
Had a 2.4 lb weight loss last week. So, I'm still chugging along.
So, who needs a pat on the back and who needs a good swift kick in the rear end?
I don't need either. I just need to keep my head down and stay focused.
QOTW:
What do you do to reward yourself when you reach your benchmarks? Do you have any inexpensive ideas for those of us who are on tight budgets?
I haven't rewarded myself just yet. I am SOOO close to my ultimate goal of 145 lbs. that I will buy myself a new wardrobe with whatever cash I win in our local biggest loser competition this time around. No mini rewards just yet. This is only a 10 week challenge, so I feel OK with not "rewarding" myself until the end.
I know I can handle at least a minute of planking. I would like to push it and see how close to 2 minutes I can handle.
Re: Wellness Wednesday
I am doing a challenge called the "10-Week Challenge". From October 22 to New Years Day, that is exactly 10 weeks. I plan to work my ass off and see how tone and how much muscle I can build. Even though I have lost the weight I want to, my body is not exactly where I want it to be, yet. I will be taking weekly photos to encourage myself. We will see how it goes!
QOTW: Once a week I have a "Cheat Day" and can eat whatever I want on that day. My cheat day is Wednesdays, so today I had a huge Jersey Mike's sub, and plan to have pizza for dinner. Two things I never eat during the week.
Activity of the Week- Right now, I can hold a plank for close to a full minute. I have been doing Core Fusion Pilates, and that has really helped. Let's see if I can go past a minute....I will report back!
So far, I've tracked points all three days this week. This doesn't sound that huge, but it is. I did Pilates one extra time last week and taught two spinning classes! Woohoo : its been beautiful here so I've been getting outside with the boys a lot. Doing a playground workout and walking there and back while pushing jack and Liam rides his bike.
I can plank for a minuteish. When I was going through Pilates training I could plank for about 3 minutes. I'm in the process of getting that body back!!!!
Doing ok here. Lots of walking with all the nice weather going on! I've made friends with another mom in my neighborhood, and while DH was at school, her and her husband took me on a loooong walking loop through adjacent neighborhoods via a path I didn't know about. I'm hoping we get out to do this loop at least twice a week - I got quite the workout with DD in her stroller since there are a lot of hills!
QOTW: I make something fun and unhealthy for dinner as a reward. My most recent attempt was a homemade stromboli. It turned out pretty darn good, and was 1/3 of the cost of ordering out from the local pizza shop. Win win!
