A few of you commented on the kitchen in N's birthday pics. He *loves* it and I highly recommend it. It is by Hape, a Swiss company. It's all wood and toxin free. Its made beautifully and the perfect size for him. The fridge has an ice machine on the front, with ice cubes that are too cute for words. Unfortunately, they are a little small so they are packed away until the choking threat is lifted.
We have the Hape fruit and veggies, plates, pots & pans, salt and pepper, salad set, eggs, milk, etc. And all of it is the best quality. I bought it in a little toy shoppe in my town, but they are on Amazon too.
Here he is, right now, cooking up a little late night snack (he had a late nap, he's got a really bad head cold and not usually up this late. He's taking full advantage
ETA: we wanted a kitchen set that didn't light up or make noise and not made of plastic. The knobs on the stove 'click' like a real stove and the ice cubes drop through, when you push a button. The salt & pepper 'shake' and it is lovely.
Re: N's kitchen (PIP)
THANK YOU! I have been looking for a good kitchen for B for a while. I just ordered the stove and fridge for her for Christmas. It's all she's getting. LOL.
Albee Baby has 15% off entire order right now and it's a "special order" item so will take 3-4 weeks to ship. Just an FYI.
You're welcome! If you order these from
amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LE32EE/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00

you get 2. Which is weird. I ordered the fruit and veggies separately and with both orders, got an extra set. Does that make sense? I paid for 1 bag of fruit and got 2 mesh bags and double the fruit (and veggies). So I put one of each away, for when he loses them. I can't figure out how to word this so it makes sense. Only problem I have found, is the stem of the tomato (his fav, of course) fell out. So I glued it back in. It is SO tiny, I can't imagine it actually being a choking hazard. He swallows bigger thing all day long
but it would be something to look out for. And I gave him one pot. He loves taking the lid off it and putting mushrooms in it. The rest of the pots.pans, plate set I saved.
