Stupid ear infections

They can suck monkey balls! Poor dd saw the pedi today and sure enough she has one. Poor thing looks so pitiful and sad. I knew something was up when she was being really good and quiet.

Yeah I stuck my foot in my mouth. Since her very short nap she's been bursting into fits of ear piercing screams.....sigh. It's gonna be a long evening.

I was just going to post that DS has his first ear infection. He didn't really show many symptoms (though he's had a runny nose and congestion since we got back from our mini-vacation), but for the past two days, he will just all of a sudden sit down and look at me and start making the sign for "please," then get cranky when I don't give him whatever he thinks he's asking for.

The pedi said she thinks she had it at least a week. I felt like a jerk for not noticing any sooner. It's only her third but it doesn't get easier. She started puking this evening too. Wish us luck we make it through the night with our sanity in tact,

No sleep. She is absolutely miserable. I've been trying to fold a basket of laundry for 3 and a half hours now. It's only 9:30 here. Plus? She now refuses to take her meds so I have to be the asssholee to hold her down and shove it down her throat. She gives me this look like why am I tormenting her. I think it's time to take up day drinking.
