And....I suck...

It's our three year anniversary today.  DH got me a really beautiful necklace for our first anniversary, but last year I told him no gifts with DD needing things and Christmas coming up.  We decided that we would treat ourselves to expensive celebratory dinners for anniversaries, instead.  Well....he completely forgot this conversation and got me a bunch of gifts, and I didn't get him anything.  I feel like a complete piece of crap.  And then he totally read my mind and said, "Don't you dare go running off to try to buy me something while I'm at school later today, I don't need anything."  And he went on to say how I never get myself anything, and I can take the gifts back if I really want, but that I really deserve to keep them.   I almost feel more terrible with him being so nice about the whole thing!

    Thanks, ladies, I did make him a dinner he really likes (BBQ pulled pork), and I made angel food cake, which is his favorite.  It was just from a box, but I never EVER bake.  So, he was pleasantly surprised and appreciative that I made the effort while simultaneously feeding bathing DD, and managing to get everything put together so it was ready when he got home from school.  And for a bonus, we lined up his parents to babysit on Saturday so we can get dinner for some one-on-one time, as well as stop by a Halloween party for socializing with friends.
