There's no board for me (infant loss)
I was much more active when I was pg with DS1, and after he was born. I posted here a few times while I was pg with DS2.
He was born October 8, with HRHS (which we knew about since our AS at 18 weeks). He had his first of three open heart surgeries on October 16. October 19 he passed away. He was 11 days old.
Tomorrow is his funereal and we need to decide by the end of the week what to put on his gravestone. WTF do you put on an infant's gravestone?

This board would be a great board because you are still parenting after a loss. Also, there is the Loss board that is for late term losses and infant loss.

As for his gravestone, did you have a song you sang to him while he was in the womb or after he was born? You could always take a line from that. Or the bible verse you posted on FB after he died is a very nice verse.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your son. Yes, this board and the Loss board are both places where you can find support. You are still parenting your living child, and the Loss board is for late pregnancy and infant losses- those women are truly wonderful and helped me so much.
I lost my son last year and picking out an urn for his ashes was an unbelievably horrible experience. No mother should have to make arrangements for her baby; my heart goes out to you and your family.
I am so sorry for your loss.
As pp's have mentioned, the Loss board would be a great place for you. And of course you are welcome here as well since you are Parenting After a Loss.

I am so sorryfor your loss. Picking out a headstone was the hardest part for us. It took us almost a year to decide. Since we never got to meet Logan alive(he was stillborn at 40 weeks and 2 days) we didn't know what would be appropriate.My DH found a wonerful qoute and we ahad his exact footprints put onit. Its perfect and looks wonderful.

I am so sorry. So so orry. May I advise you to go to the LOSS board the women there are amazing and wonderful and will welcome you with open arms.
As for the headstone put something that comes right from your heart. My daughter was 19 months old when she died here is her headstone.
My advice is simple, this decision needs to be personal and completely up to you, no one elses words or decisions. This is something that will forever be the thing you get your son. I am so sorry you have to go through this walk. It is not an easy one and it goes on forever.
I hope that the women on LOSS can confort you now and for the weeks and months to come. My heart is with you.
