What's everyone putting their LO in for bedtime? Still swaddle or no?
We put DS in cotton long sleeve footed piece and still use the swaddleme sacks. I went to buy the sleepsack today and plan to just put him in that instead of the swaddleme.
Short sleeve onesie and sleep and play. I have some sleep sacks but he hates them. Can't remember the last time we swaddled! DS doesn't like to be confined-he's a kicker and a mover and after he decided he was Houdini with the swaddles we gave up trying to wrap him up.
Sleep and play. He's not swaddled at night anymore, just at naps. We live in Florida, so its still warm, but I'm not sure what I'll put him in when it cools off, so I'm curious to see what others do!
DD hasn't liked the swaddle since about 2 weeks. Depending on how warm it is (I'm in Canada so it's very different day to day this time of year) we go from a cotton footed sleeper and no sleep sack to a cotton footed sleeper w/ a sleeveless cotton sleep sack to a short sleeved/no leg onesie with a micro-fleece long sleeved sleep sack.

DS was clawing his way out of the swaddle at a few days old, but we stuck with it for a while anyway, then swaddled arms out for a while too. Right now he's in a sleeper with a sleep sack- either light fleece or 2.5 tog. On chillier nights he'll wear a fleece sleeper.
What's a sleep and play? Is that like a footed sleeper?
Usually a fleece footed sleeper, sometimes with a onesie underneath depending on the temp, in a sleep sack or a swaddle. Trying to wean from the swaddle. Some nights are better than others :P If she gets particularly antsy I'll break down and do the swaddle. She also gets cold really easy to that helps so her hands aren't icicles in the morning.
DD is usually in a Carter's sleep sack thing, with a short sleeve onesie underneath. We went from the swaddle to the sleep sack. She'll probably be too long for them in the next month or so, then we'll switch to footie pjs
I swaddle. When he was a newborn I used the zip up one, then I moved to the next one up which is velco and recently I bought then next size up but don't use it as it's a little too big still.
Every night I put him in footie pj's, the velco swaddle blanket and then to make sure he doesn't bust out of that I burrito him up in a light blanket. We live in TX but always have the A.C on. He is so used to this routine now I just can't stop the swaddling!
DD hasn't let us swaddle her since she was about 2 weeks old.
She sleeps in either cotton footie PJs, or footless PJs that have long sleeves and pant legs. We usually cover her with a thicker cotton blanket and another slightly less thick (but not very thin) cotton blanket over that. We live in the mountains in New England, but have a very efficient wood stove.
