Cheerio haters welcome!

Shelly! Your LO does not like Cheerios either? Bo just likes to throw them!! I do not see all of the hype of these little round things!! Are there any other cheerio haters out there?

Oh and can someone tell me why these are a good snack for toddlers? Are they an impressive nutrient packed "O"?

  • T will eat them but they aren't her favorite. I don't understand the hype either. They actually worry me because cheerios are really dry and sticky, im afraid T will choke.

Eta: they are good for your cholesterol!!! Lol

  • I hate Cheerios too but I still bought them for LO. He'll eat a few but them start throwing them.

I thought they were a good snack because they are high in grain content and the o shape keep kids from choking on them.

  • O used to eat Cheerios, but since she has had other more flavorful stuff, she will not eat them. Funny thing is the dog won't eat them anymore either!!

  • Cheerios actually have quite a bit of vitamins, etc - there is a third column of nutrition facts for kids under 4 listed on there. Owen likes them but he LOVES animal crackers.

Sometimes I mix some multi grain or apple cinnamon cheerios in with regular cheerios for him and he will eat more. The multi grain and apple cinnamon have more sugar though so I would rather him eat regular.

  • L hates Cheerios too, and I can't really blame her; I think the plain ones are gross. I love honey nut, but I'm not ready for her to have that much sugar yet.
  • I actually just started giving Q cheerios yesterday. Before that I was only giving him puffs or fruit for snacks. The cheerios have alot more good stuff in them than the puffs, they're a big more substantial and he loves them. Of course he loves everything, but i mixed them with a little applesauce this morning and they were sweet and soft and he was psyched about it.

  • Well, M won't eat the regular Cheerios. She will only eat the honey nut. However, if I buy the multi grain ones, she will eat all of them except the regular ones. She picks those out and throws them.

Panda! Honey nut Cheerios and bananas? Heck yeah!
