If its too late for anyone to respond to this, maybe we can do one tomorrow but i wanted to share this one because I've dwelt on it all weekend and have determined its just too weird.
Wednesday I went to put Q down for his afternoon nap and his pooh bear was sitting on the changing table. It was odd because the last time we had been in his room was after his last nap when i changed him on the table. So what, did I change him, randomly pick pooh bear off the floor and put it on the changing table on my way out? Not that i recall, but hey.
Then i go to put him in his crib and its moved up against his chair. Maybe I accidentally pushed it. Again a bit weird.
Wednesday night he wakes up twice, very upset immediately. When i go into his room, he doesn't want hugs or comfort, he is straining to look around me at the door and the floor, like he is looking for something. Both times after a minute he gives up and goes right back to sleep.
Thursday I have a laundry basket sitting bottom up on top of the washer while I'm washing clothes. I'm upstairs and it suddenly goes crashing off. The cat and dogs are upstairs with me. vibrations from the machine? Guess it's possible, although it seems likely that vibrations would make it fall forward and not off to the side of the machine.
Now we come to Friday. Q is napping, I am folding and sorting the laundry from the day before in my bedroom across the hall from this room.
I hear a sound that sounds like maybe someone is knocking rapidly at my door, except maybe not as solid as a door knock? Than it becomes less conistant, starting and stopping. I leave my room, check the downstairs and realize it is coming from Q's room.
I run in and he is waking up, not scared but disturbed from his sleep. The knocking is loud and moving between the two walls in his room. It is coming from inside his wall.
I knocked and it didn't seem affect the sound it just kept coming back softer and softer until it didn't come back at all.
There was no scratching or shuffling like an animal would make and after I couldn't figure out what it was, I was left very scared. I have seen and heard all kinds of things but if this was otherwordly, it was the most obvious thing I've ever witnessed and maybe just a bit aggressive. All that aside, I am scared that it is centered around Q.
I hung a blessed cross in his room and we haven't had anything happen since then.
share yours.
Re: s/o ghost stories
wow. That gave me chill bumps.
I - thankfully- don't have any stories like that.
who knows. It makes me feel better though.
Not near as creepy. But I hear music in Kaiden's room all.the.time. Not baby toy music, or from the tv downstairs. And it's not the same kinds of music. But anytime I'm in there at night I can hear faint radio sounds.
at our old house, stuff would go missing, moved, doors open, a lot. We rented a house which used to be the landlords mom. So I would talk to Thelma and tell her things. She was always interested in Lylah. It would be her room that always opened.
Spririts seem to be more active around LOs because LO's are still open to the spirits. As we get older most people lose that connection while they are still kids.
I shared a couple stories the other day - the 2 older gentlemen from the Civil War walking up my parents hall stairs, the older man and boy that appear randomly in my parents 3rd floor, and the glowing, dancing skeleton on my bedroom door when I was 4 or 5.
Back in high school a friend was staying at my house and in the middle of the night asked what the glowing green spot on my wall was. We could not figure out where it was coming from (like a reflection or something from outside shining in). We both got out of bed, walked over and touched it. It was freezing cold. We touched the wall outside of the green spot and it was normal temperture (it was summer). So we didn't think anything of it and that maybe some glow in the dark gel we used earlier in the week got on the wall. This spot was there for several days. Then one day it was gone. Months later it came back but on a different wall. Same thing, the spot was cold but the rest of the wall was normal temperature.
I will if anything else happens. I have had a talk with the ghost who was there when we first moved in and I think we have an understanding. I think she's just an older woman, but this is a little different and if it continues, than yeah, i will find some help.
