Foster Parents/Adopting from Foster Care Presentation

Hi, I am a March 2012 bumpie wandering over here with a request for assistance. I'm a child welfare attorney responsible for dependency adjudication and TPR cases. I will be giving a presentation to soon-to-be foster parents in a few weeks. Although we don't have "foster to adopt" homes in our state, most of the people taking this class are entering the foster program with the intent to adopt children.

If you are a foster parent, soon-to-be foster parent, or adopted a child(ren) from foster care, what types of information from the child welfare attorney would help you better understand the system?

Summary of the entire process Shelter to Termination of Parental Rights?
A general timeline?
Placement/Adoption of infants vs. older children?
Information about sibling groups?
Technical issues (like ICPC, ICWA)?

I am reaching out where I can provide the most appropriate and helpful information to the class (and I think the best way would be for input from a group like yall).

I think all of that information would be great, if I had to choose a top priority maybe a summary of the process and general timeline if this is an introductory class - if they've already been taking classes then I think ICWA and sibling groups are topics I haven't seen much on.
