If I am still nursing, do I introduce WCM? I forgot to ask the damn Pedi when I was there. I'm only nursing before two naps, bedtime, and sometimes once during the night.
We aren't starting it, but Lily's still nursing at least 5 times a day (usually it's quite a bit more). As long as she's getting lots of breastmilk, I'm not worrying about giving her anything else other than water to drink.
I would, it makes the transition a lot easier if you introduce it now and it has lots of healthy fats that they need right now for brain development. it is a win/win.

we're not. in fact our pedi told us that if we want to keep nursing to avoid adding WCM in case it interferes with nursing. breast milk is so much better for them and you don't want her drinking cow's milk instead, as I understand it.
You don't have to if you're still nursing. We only introduced it so I could stop pumping and eventually when I run out of freezer stash he'll have WCM during the day.
Because it's only about 2 "bottles" worth, when I asked the pediatrician how much WCM he should be getting he said it really doesn't matter since he's nursing while he's with me.
We are introducing it at every meal but that is it. She doesn't always drink it but it is there.
This would be my suggestion. Offer a small amount in a cup just a meal times to get him use to the taste. If he's still nursing he really doesn't need it for the nutritional value yet, but you eventually want to be able to transition him to it.

I have an add on stupid question.... Once WCM is replacing formula or BM completely, what should their schedule look like? I am just confused by what WCM should be doing for him. Filling him like the formula was or just addative with his food. Share your schedule please
