Is so frustrating!

Since I started cooking for Matt, this is the third time I try giving him mashed potatoes. The first time I made them simple... with nothing. Failed. Second time I mixed them with some babyfood /veggies/. Failed. Now I nade them with some gravy and I even put a pinch of salt /just a little/ and some chicken. He ended up spitting the potatoes and throwing the chicken at me.... So that's it? He just doesn't like mashed potatoes? He has become such a picky eater!!! I think he doesn't like the texture of the noodles... any foods that has been winners among your LOs???

  • Mashed potatoes are probably because of textures. My three year old still doesn't line them.
They love cheese ravilolis. I use tomato sauce over them and could sneak in any veggie because they practically inhale them!

  • I have a nephew that won't eat mashed potatoes.  Isn't it funny, who doesn't like mashed potatoes?

L's favorite things are spaghetti and cheese.  Veggies are the hardest for us, but she likes broccoli so we have that a lot.

  • I too am a potato lover! Can you trya dn make them with butter, milk, S&P? maybe some cheese or salsa on it too? Foods that Bo will eat up are: guacamole, oatmeal, peaches, pears, sweet potatoes, salmon, hummus, rice, italian sausage, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, pancakes, mac n' cheese, salad, cucumbers, mango puree and goat cheese on french bread...I guess he is a good eater, but there was a phase where he was like matt that I would be wearing all of these foods. I tried to make the food more palatable and creative. We have a glass face place that we decorate with the pasta and veggies or I spread hummus or yogurt dip on things.. Does matt like to dip things? That works for Bo! He actually learned how to use flatware by helping me dip his spoon in the yogurt or chili!

  • He doesn't like yogurt. I gave him one once, strawberry. I'll have to try another one later. He doesn't dip... he makes a mess!! hahahahaha He does eat his rice mixed with ground meat /with this I can sneek some veggies/ or with chicken /with this he only eats pureed veggies/ or I give him some chicken nuggets /I made them in the oven/ and mashed carrots... oh and pancakes. That's what I have found so far that he likes... this is sooo hard!!!

  • Try mashed sweet potatoes. LO really likes that better than regular mashed potatoes.
