Newbie- Have a Beta HCG ?

Hello everyone,

 

Just a brief history of our journey so far. Me (27) PCOS, DH (31) Fine, I have secondary IF due to PCOS, that being said I have an amazing DS (3)! We have been TTC since 11/2010 but just started treatments in 1/12 with clomid 5 cycles all BFN. Then took a break until October and started gonal f on 9/26 (112.5mg) then triggered with Ovidrel on 10/7, and followed with timed intercourse.

 

So to my question: I had a beta hcg today that came back with a "faint" positive she said the # was 7.6, and I need to test again on Wednesday to see where this is going ? << Explain all of this please !

    HCG is the hormone used to detect pregnancy. It is also the same hormone used in Ovidrel used to induce ovulation. The HCG from the Ovidrel is usually out of your system by 8-10 days after the shot.

    On your first beta they want to see if there is any HCG detected in your system. After that, they want to see that number double in the next 48 - 72 hours.

    Thanks, I was able to look up lots about it last night most I shouldn't have. lol

     

    I have a glimmer of hope left today that this may actually stick, my symptoms feel like they increased, but could be my mind playing tricks! We shall see after my beta tomorrow though! Good Luck to you as well this cycle!
