Working with teenagers

I was teaching a lesson today and my students asked if it was hard. I told them the problems were pretty long and would take a while to finish. After I had worked an example on the board, one of my students said "I thought it was supposed to be hard.", and I replied "it's about to get harder and longer".... Yeah teenagers let you get by with nothing. The whole class started giggling and I realized how it sounded and my face turned red as I tried not to laugh along with them.
