Are you decorating this year. I want to keep things normal get a tree, hang lights etc.. but my DH seems convinced we will be too busy to take it all down after the baby comes and says he doesn't want a tree and few of my friends said i was crazy for wanting to decorate. I am due on christmas and think I get get DH to agree to the tree. But I just wanted to see what others were doing to see if I am really crazy for wanting to decorate? TIA

Re: If your due on or around christmas?
We definitely decorated. For pictures, visitors, and own personal sake of getting in the holiday spirit, we wanted to have the house looking good. It really didn't take us long at all, so I hope it won't take us long to take it down when needed.
We were considering getting a real tree this year, but in the end stuck with our fake one.
Yes we're still decorating! MH just put the lights up outside and brought the tree in today. I'm going to have him bring up the boxes from the basement so we can decorate the tree this weekend and put out our other decorations.
I would feel so sad if he didn't want to decorate. It just might take us a little longer to take things down this year. We always leave things up until Jan 6th though. I'm sure MH can find some time to take things down.
We're definitely decorating anyways. I know we'll be busy, but I don't mind waiting a little long to take them down as long I get to put them up.

Yup, I wouldn't miss decorating. My older kids have November and January Bdays and this one is right before Christmas and having newborns or being almost due has never stopped me before or now.
The only thing I did differently this year was I purged a bit because how much I decorate all over the house has gotten a little out of control. Maybe part of the nesting instinct to want things a bit more organized and tidy ;0) It really doesn't take that much to pack it all back away so I don't know that to be a valid reason not to. I can't imagine trying to get into the Christmas spirit without tree and decorations....plus with the older children, for me that would just not be an option. I got everything done as early as possible. In fact, everything was bought and wrapped pretty much by Thanksgiving this year to make sure I didn't lose steam at the end and then not do it. I decorated Thanksgiving weekend. We will take down New years weekend just like every other year.
