Most March mommas left us for FB. I am probably the only 28 yr old that has never and will never have FB. This had me wondering....who on here is both, a FB and Bump lover, who is just one or the other or who does both! Would do a poll but I'm mobile and not able to do so....

I have both, but I decided that I wanted to keep FB and the Bump separate. I only use FB for people I know IRL since it has more of my info and I have pretty strict privacy settings since I'm a teacher.

I have both, but prefer using the bump. Facebook is only used for people I know in real life as well to keep updated.

I have both, but I am not part of the Facebook group.

I got Facebook when I was in college and you could only be friends with people at your school. Crazy how huge it is!

I have both. I use The Bump boards for baby stuff and keep FB separate. While I'm not ready to give up FB and think it's a great way to keep up for far off friends and family that you don't see often, I'm about do a big purge of all my "FB friends" so I don't want to add another group to keep up with on there.

Same as many others.

Facebook = Real Life. I only add people I know personally and avoid business connections as well.

The Bump = Place to get feedback, vent, with other mommies without fear of real life repercussions.

I do miss the busy of the board... but it kinda seemed like things were more likely to get out of control about something fairly harmless when there were a billion people on the board. No because anyone "brought" the drama, but because it seemed like one snarky comment would snowball.

I am on our FB group, and mostly lurk here.... I have a job that requires my FB page to be completely private, however the FB group does not interfere with that as no one from the group can see my page (unless they are my friends), and can only see what I post in the group. Nothing bump related shows on the page that my friends and family see, and nothing private shows up on the bump group.

This exactly. I pop into the fb group from time to time just to see what kind of topics are coming up as our kids get older but I never post there. I prefer the quieter, less drama filled group here.

... I dont get the whole add the random stranger stuff just to get a big friends list. I like my privacy too much. Amazes me how when I post on friends walls, random joes in their lists send me requests ... lol

I have something like 250 FB friends. I know all of them. Not close to many of them.

I do have people I have never met on there. I belong to a message board completely separate from TB for Christian moms. We are a very close-knit group. A lot of them have met up IRL. Some of the people I am closest with I am FB friends as well.

I have both. FB I don't really talk on but a way to keep up to date with people. TB I am on all the time and talk to people even if I never meet them face to face

Only on the bump but have personal fb. I found the fb group too dramatic and it's just too activedon't have the time too keep up. I find that ppl on the bump discuss issues etc more while fb posts were about everything

the FB group is just another forum group, similar to this, just formatted differently, and some people find it easier to post there. You don't add people to your friends list unless you really want to be FB friends with them, so your privacy and 'real life' aren't actually on display for the members of the group. (Just an FYI since there seemed to be a little bit of confusion)
