For mobile users: Suggestions for naked time with a walker
DD is fighting a pretty bad case of diaper rash and I'm trying to do everything to make it better before giving up and heading to the doctor. So we've been having a lot of naked/diaper-free time, but now that she is mobile, I'm looking for suggestions to make that work.
We start sitting and playing on a blanket that I'm ok with her peeing on, but that never lasts very long. We mostly have hardwood floors, so I just let her wander, but it is annoying since I'm never sure where/when it will happen.
Yesterday, after I figured it had been long enough, I left to go get a diaper. I come back a few seconds later to C stomping in her little pee puddle (in socks)...bad timing, I barely missed it! No pooping sans diaper yet, so I guess I should be considering myself lucky.
Any suggestions?

We do naked time after a bath in her crib, this way it's on a water proof pad! She tends to run back and forth in her crib
Lately we started naked time in my bed, she hasn't peed yet, but it doesn't last nearly as long as if she were in her crib.

We use cloth. I don't have any butt paste, I'll look into that.
I've also read that cloth can cause yeast infections...I'm not sure how I can tell if it is yeast or if I should switch to disposables until it clears up.
we had an ugly rash for the first time a month or so ago, I have fleece liners I cut from fabric that I used over my CD so that the butt paste wouldn't ruin them, I also used disposables.

We had a terrible, worst ever diaper rash maybe a month ago. We put towels tucked into the bottom of the PNP for naked time.
However the real life saver was Bag Balm! You can find it at CVS and it is way easier and gentler to put on than any of the diaper creams. It's main ingredient is lanolin. Best diaper cream ever... After one full day is was dramatically better! Now it is the only thing I use!!!!
Here is what it looks like :
Well that was horrifying.
I don't *think* it is yeast.
L has had a mild yeast rash before and it wasn't nearly as horrific as what pops up on google! The biggest tell tale for me is if there are raised little bumps, that is yeast. If I see any bumps, we go for naked time, stat. We used to do towels in the PnP like PP said but we have packed it away since L has no patience for being restricted. We just take our chances and hope for the best!

Knock on wood, M hasn't had barely any diaper rash yet. But, Desitin Extra Strength or whatever it's called works great. But I know the Bag Balm stuff that Rox recommended works great for so many things!
As for worrying about her peeing everywhere.. honestly, as dumb as it sounds, I wouldn't worry. Just pay attention, and if it happens, it happens. I'd just clean it up as soon as it happened with soap/water/carpet spray.
