upper abdominal pain?

Hi ladies! So last night I could NOT get to sleep for the life of me....when I lied down the quickly diminishing space between the top of my uterus and my rib cage ached like heck.....had sharp pains there when trying to change position...literally the only way to make it feel better was to get out of bed and stand up straight. I finally fell asleep around 7 am and have been ok since...called my ob's office and the nurse said it was probs just the positions of the babies making me uncomfortable since they were moving tons! I'm wondering if any of you have experienced something similar? Is it par for the course or should I be worried about something? TIA!

I was in the hospital this weekend for pain in my abdomen...probably not the same pain you had as I was screaming in pain felt like labor only high up in my chest. Turned out I had gall stones to big to pass so anytime my gallbladder was working to process fat it was squeezing those stones making me want to die.

It only seemed to hit me when I was laying flat or someone touched my stomach.

I hope all turns out ok for you.

Does it feel like your ab muscles are literally ripping apart? I have had that for a few weeks and according to my OB that is exactly what is going on!

Are you just having the abdominal pain? If it's paired with other symptoms, it could mean something serious. With my first, I had the upper abdominal pain, then major headaches & lastly vomiting. I was diagnosed with HELLP syndrome after going the ER 2xs and finally getting a blood test.

Be vigilant when it comes to your health. You know your body better than anyone. If you think you should be tested or something just doesn't feel right keep on your OB until he/she hears you.

Good to know....so far it's just been the abdominal pain but I have been on the lookout for other symptoms....that is, trying to not ignore anything. It's so much more nerve-wracking when it's not just me on the line.
