Hi Ladies!
I went in for ET on Friday morning. I felt great all day on Friday. I was told to rest for 24 hours and take it easy over the weekend. Saturday ngiht I went to dinner with friends and I suddenly felt a wave of nausea. I have been feeling this way off and on since then. I have also cut out caffeine (for the most part). Today I am feeling groggy, nauseous, tender bb's and my ankles are swolen! I know that this is probably not pregnancy related, but please tell me I am not crazy! Can the HCG shot bring on such strong prego related symptoms?
Thanks!
Re: ET on Friday 10/19
Yes, the shot can bring on those symptoms as it's the same hormone that spikes when you're pregnant. I think it's usually out of your system 8-9 days after you take it. Are you planning to POAS before your beta? If so, you might want to start now so you know when the HcG has left your system (so you don't get a false positive because of the shot).
I started really feeling the symptoms about 5-6 days after ET. My first symptoms were exhaustion and sore nipples (TMI).
Sadly, I get really groggy and other pregnancy symptoms from the HCG shot. I have learned to not count on my symptoms until at least 8 days after my shot.
Good luck! I hope this is your cycle!

I will definitely buy a pregnancy test on my way home!

Thanks a million!

I POAS ( to see if there was any HCG left in my system from the shot) last night - and it came up negative. I am thinking these symptoms must be from the progesterone.
