Maxi-Cosi Mila vs. First Years Jet

I registered for a First Years Jet stroller ($40 Amazon) but at my shower received a Maxi-Cosi Mila stroller ($140 BBB).  Is the Mila really worth the $100 extra or should I return it for the cheaper Jet stroller and use the remaining money towards something else?

My other strollers are a Chicco Key Fit Caddy and a BOB jogging stroller.  This stroller is meant for around town once the baby outgrows its infant carseat / key fit stroller.

Re: Maxi-Cosi Mila vs. First Years Jet

  • I say RETURN it.  You already have nice strollers, so I would exchange it for the jet.  We had the jet as our primary stroller with DD1 before we needed a double and it worked great.  It doesn't look cheap and it folds up easily and doesn't take much space.  Use the $100 difference for other things you need :)

  • Thanks, I needed someone else to tell me :)

  • I am all about saving $ and making the best of your resources, but.... I will say I have the Jet and after having it less than 6 months, the foot strap snapped in half from being folded/unfolded going in and out of the car. I contacted First Years and they told me I could not get a new strap, but I'd have to replace the whole stroller...lame. Just throwing that out there! Oh, and FWIW, we still use the stroller with no strap!
