Rx pain medication?

My lil guy is cutting molars and he is a mess. Tylenol might take the edge off but he is still very very unhappy. Nothing I do makes him happy. I cant even leave the room and leave him with my DH because he just wants mom when his mouth hurts. I feel like I go through bottles of Tylenol. The doctor mentioned giving him a prescription pain medication but I would have to bring him in... does anyone have any guesses or experience with what the Rx pain med would be?

    Hmmm. No experience. I do know that we were having to give Gator pain meds every night while cutting teeth until we got her an amber teething necklace. Now we rarely have to give it to her and she is still teething like crazy. She wears her necklace all day and all night....I don't take it off. Some people may think its crazy....but I love ours and am so glad we bought one!

    I do have one of those but I am nervous about leaving it on during sleep. I believe in it too! You're not crazy, they do work
