Ergobaby carrier question?

I know a lot of questions have been asked about the ergo but I had another. For those of you that have used them, do you feel like the teething or sucking pads that go on the straps are really necessary or just a waste of money? Any other accessories you found very useful as well?

    I use them and think they are important.  The ergo is an investment and I didn't want him messing the straps up with his constant gnawing.  Also they absorb all the drool so I don't have to wash the whole carrier as much.

    I don't have them but plan to get them. My kid loves to chew on those damn straps.

    there is a little storage pack that attaches to the front. Holds my keys, phone, one diaper change with more room.  A worthwhile purchase.

    DD definitely got use out of them a few months back, but she hasn't used them in a while. I think they're worth it, though. Not necessary, but nice to have.

    Pretty much the same as this for DS when he was younger. We were given them as a shower gift with the Ergo.
