HFMD-Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

So we are pretty sure that DD has this.  The in-home daycare told me today that other kids have it and what she has going on, looks the same.  She had a fever of about 102 on Saturday and has just been extra fussy.  I attributed the whole thing to teeth.  However, she does have a sore on her lip.  Should I assume that the worst is over at this point? Any advice is appreciated!

    I would think the worst would be over.. I know DS had a really light case so it's not always that bad.

    With DS, he ran a fever for a day and broke out in the spots the next day. He had them all over the outside of his mouth but none inside. Also on his hands, bottom of his feet and his bottom.

    Besides being spotty and the fever the first day, he was totally fine and acted himself. He had the fever on a Tuesday and was all clear by the weekend.

    I think the fever and crankiness peaks around the 3rd day, so you should be all good from here for the most part.

    I agree with PP, when DS had it after the fever was gone he acted perfectly normal. The bumps didn't seem to bother him at all (but he did not have any in the inside of his mouth, just on his feet and hands).
