DD slept till 9 am today...which has happened never. She went to bed on time last night too! Weekdays we are up at 7, so sleeping till 8 on weekends is awesome.
Past 7, cause thats my normal work wake up time. On weekends, H tries to let me be able to sleep til closer to 8, but C doesn't always agree and comes into the room to yell at Blondie to wake up, which wakes me up too.

Your boys are adorable!! Dylan typically gets up between 6-6:30 - so even 6:45 is good. We had late night birthday parties the past 2 nights and got home at 12:30 and 10:30. Dylan slept until 8:30 and 7:15. I think a good nap is in store! (Big girls slept in until 9 both mornings, they usually get up at 7:15 for school.)
Sleeping in is like 1112 here. We have Rosie trained to wake up between 9:30 and 10 am. I am trying to enjoy this while we can. Since come December there goes my beauty sleep.
My kid sleeps forever- til 10 or 11 all days of the week. However, I get up at 4:30 AM for work Monday-Friday. On weekends my body (usually) naturally wakes me up around 6:30. I figure 7 is sleeping in on the weekends and it still gives me several hours to get things done before DS wakes up.
I'd say any time past 7:30 is sleeping in. DD usually sleeps til 7:30 or 8, but I'm usually up before her just out of habit! Occasionally on the weekends, DH and I can sleep til 8, which is awesome.
Before we had kids, sleeping in was anything after 8 am. Ever since DD was born, sleeping in is anything after 7 am. She's usually up anywhere between 6 and 6:45 am on a daily basis, with a few horrible stretches of 5:30 am wake-ups every now and then.

Haaaaa haha. I am such a night person. 'Sleeping in' to me is anything after 11 a.m., and a really good sleep in, a, as my husband calls it, 'religious experience sleeping in' is 1 p.m. Oh god, I love sleeping in until 1 p.m. I LIVE for that sort of thing.
To me, getting up anytime before 10 a.m. is 'having to get up early' and anything before 7 a.m. is 'oh-f*ck-thirty in the morning'.
And yes, this does mean that 6 days of the week, I have to get up early. DH and I have worked out that we each get to sleep in one day a week (usually him on saturday and me on sunday).

G gets up at 7 during the week (sometimes 6:45), so anything later than that. My husband and I alternate sleeping in on weekend days, so one day each weekend I sleep till 9 or 9:30 and it is marvellous.
Hate me: Tilly gets up between about 8:30 and 9, and my earliest class is at 10:30, so I regularly sleep until she wakes up. And when it's my day to sleep in, I get to sleep AS LONG AS I WANT. I usually stumble out of the bedroom on Fridays around 11.
It depends on the context. If we're talking about Aiden not waking up, that would be 7. 7 is great. But if DH and I are agreeing to let the other sleep in and take care of Aiden, that's more like 8:30. Sleeping in used to be 11 :-/
I'm glad this is still going. It was the thread I found out I was banned on.
Normal wake up time is 8 at our house so anything after 9 is considered sleeping in. When I was childless I was a 12 to 11 or noon sleeper so it's still quite the hit. Sleeping before midnight is still impossible for me. I am lucky if I make it until 10 on my once a month sleep in day.

Sleeping in for me is 7am. Since DH does not function well without sleep and has trouble with sleep onset I let him sleep in until 9am or so most weekends
Really, the sky is the limit, but we have been known to sleep in until 11 or 12 on a weekend. One of us does have to get up to take care of the cat and dog though.
if dd is with me, 930. if its a weekend she is with her dad, i dont get out of the bed before noon if i dont have to. its fabulous.
I hope this isn't insensitive, but this has to be the best silver lining about divorce! Haha. I'm sort of jealous that you get regularly scheduled weekends to yourself.

haha..it really is nice!
however, my "free" weekends are spent catching up on housework and errands i cant get done during the week. but it's still nice to be able to do those things without a toddler to keep entertained as well! and its extra nice during football season
Re: What counts as "sleeping in" to you?
7 is sleeping in to me. 8 is ridiculous! My DH thinks sleeping in is 6:30 and he rarely sleeps past that, even when he can on weekends.
During the week, I am always up by 5:30 and DH is usually up before that.

I'll say anything past 7:30. If we even get to 7:30, that's a late morning, but it would have to be closer to 8 for me to consider it "sleeping in".
Pre-baby, sleeping in would have been 11. Anything before 10 a.m. would have been unheard of on a weekend lol.

You know what's sleeping in to me? Any day I wake up and I don't have a 3-foot person cuddling up to me.
This means I didn't have any random sleep kicks to the kidney, hair cuddles nor treated as a pillow during the night.
haha..it really is nice!
